GDA to provide First Aid training for 60 to save lives


Devastated by a spate of recent drowning of young people in the Atlantic Ocean in the community of Gunjur, interventions are being made to provide people with training and skills to save lives.


Gunjur Development Association (GDA) in collaboration with the Gunjur Project are sponsoring an advanced First Aid training course with a view to empowering the community to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

According to the Secretary General of Gunjur Development Association, Jenny Ringstead, the training will take place at Gunjur Ice Plant conference hall starting Monday, 23rd, July. The course, which is expected to run for five days will be delivered by Caring for Life Association Gambia.

At least 60 people are expected to benefit, according to Jenny Ringstead.
