Response to GAP’s false allegations against GunjurOnline

It’s with immense concern we read the patently false allegations against GunjurOnline by GAP regarding an article published about its leader’s legal troubles.

Whoever advised Musa Yali Batchilly to make false allegations against GunjurOnline over a scathingly factual article about him doesn't love him.

GunjurOnline only reported court proceedings gleaned from a publication by the respected Point newspaper. To disabuse GAP leadership of their ignorance, a report on judicial proceedings enjoys constitutional protection. Needless to say, truth is a defense in libel.

GunjurOnline wishes to commit more time to exposing acts of corruption that have turned Gambia into a snake pit of infernal cruelty, including but not limited to high maternal mortality, youth unemployment, Covid-19, lack of water and electricity, than using valuable time on a party that has become the butt of savage jokes.

It’s a sad fact of life that GAP and it’s leader have the rich fantasy to flatter themselves with the notion Gunjuronline will engage in the resource- consuming, labor-intensive effort to project hate on a bunch of deluded narcissts. The GAP brand has been so irretrievably sullied that their leader has become what defamation lawyers call a “libel-proof plaintiff,” that is, someone whose reputation is already so thoroughly damaged that no libelous report can damage it further.
