Sport: Red Star Company boosts Gunjur United FC, Red Star FC and others
USA based founder of Red Star Family Company Yankuba Darboe has today presented sporting and other materials to Second Division outfit Gunjur Utd, local team Red Star FC and a football academy as part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities.
Mr Darboe is currently on vacation in the country where he attended the preeentation event earlier today.
The gesture has attracted applauds from sports and football fans in Gunjur. Famara Badjie said if the gesture: “This is great! Thanks bro Yanks and team. God reward you all abundantly.”
For his part, local councillor Momodou Charreh Gibba added: “Congratulations to the Red Star Family for this generous Contributions to Gunjur United FC. Your support is timely and will definitely boost the spirit and moral of the Club. On that note I hereby register my deepest appreciation and sincere thanks to the CEO and Red Star Family. May Allah reward you abundantly.”
Yankuba Darboe and his Red Star company have been at the forefront of giving back to the community by making service and financial contributions community activities and iniatitives when it comes to socio-economic development of the communities.
