ST BRIKAMA BOYO MAKES HISTORY WITH LEGENDARY BABA MAAL SONG
Brikama, 6th February 2021 - Multiple award-winning GAMBIAN superstar ST releases the highly anticipated music video “My People” today. It is the first time ever that the legendary, world-renowned Senegalese musician Baba Maal has ever collaborated on a song with a Gambian artist.
MY PEOPLE is a classic social and political advocacy song that addresses the ills of society. It paints a vivid picture of how the political and social class such as politicians, activists, NGOs, among others, use the people as cannon fodder to rise to the pinnacle of power and money, only to betray them later.
This soon to be timeless and classic song embodies the character of the distinguished reputation of both artists as voices of the voiceless. ST Brikama, who has albums songs to his name, will launch the much-talked-about Dinding Mansa album on Saturday, February 6th, 2021.
Baba Maal, who features in multiple Grammy award-winning blockbusters including the widely acclaimed Wakanda and Black Hawk Down, is celebrated for his signature vocal talent.
