The ward councillor of Kembujeh, Honourable Alieu K Darboe, in an exclusive interview with the GunjurOnline has stated that the youths consistitute 65% of the National population, yet they are faced with higher levels of unemployment in this country and that President Barrow’s government isn’t living up to his campaign promises to the youths of the country.
He added that all the promises made by Barrow in 2016 to youth has gone down the drain, adding that he is very passionate with youth matters and working tirelessly to ensure youth unemployment rate in his ward is drastically reduced.
Councillor Darboe went further to say that, his ward had benifted from various goodwill gestures, geared towards empowering youth development through donation of sporting items to teams in his ward.
Hon. Alieu K.Darboe was quick to brag that the UDP as a party and government in waiting has in its policy designed good programmes to address the needs of the young people when the party wins power in 2021.
