Politics: BAC Chairman Sonko keeps Chairmanship of Brikama Area Council
The Supreme Court of The Gambia has ruled that Sheriffo Sonko cannot lose Chairmanship of the Brikama Area Council by virtue of his expulsion from opposition party, the United Democratic Party.
The ruling of the apex court dismisses any hope of a by-election in the West Coast to elect a new Chairman following the expulsion of Sheriffo Sonko who won the chairmanship election on the UDP ticket.
