They used to be best friends, but they seem to be involved in a cold war of ratings as each strain to be the premiere outfit in the fast changing business of news in The Gambia.
Kerr Fatou has been credited with amassing the highest viewership of any media house since Facebook live was launched when Menbekering anchor Pa Modou Bojang granted them an interview yesterday.
The live viewership totaling over five thousand is no mean feat for the recently launched outfit, eliciting commendation from followers.
US-based Gambian, Lamin Drammeh observed:
“This is an unprecedented amount of viewerships thanks to Fatou Touray and her entire team for reaching this milestone. This is by far the biggest viewerships in the history of an online streaming by a Gambian standard. Only Pa Modou Bojang, the poor people’s journalist can register such a monumental success. Not even Ba Ousainou Darboe in his capacity as Gambia’s most popular politician has ever pulled such a big viewerships. My respect for Pa Modou has increased tremendously. He’s a patriot and deserves to be where he’s today”.
For her part, US-based Mariama Samateh was succinct in her description of the event.
“He broke the internet”, she declared.
