Through the coordination of the Gunjur VDC, a project proposal was submitted the the US Embassy who approved and funded the first pregnancy scanning machine for the minor health centre. The second scanner was purchased through cordinated fund drive by the Gunjur Development Fund (GDF).

The provision of the ultrasound scanners at Gunjur Health Cebtre is a significant milestone, especially for pregnant women due to huge benefits and improvements it can provide during prenatal care.

Pregnancy is a crucial and delicate time in any woman's life. Consequently, having access to proper prenatal care is essential for the health and well-being of both the mother and baby. Ultrasound scanning provides early detection of any potential issues or complications, allowing for timely intervention and treatment, which can promote healthier pregnancy and better outcomes for both mother and baby.

In addition to the benefits of early detection of potential issues, scanning can also provide detailed and accurate information about the development of the fetus. This can give expecting mothers peace of mind and reassurance that their baby is growing and developing as it should. It will also help healthcare providers to monitor the progress of the pregnancy more closely and make any necessary adjustments to the care plan.
