Sibindinto FC installs ceiling fans, light bulbs at Gunjur Health Centre

Sebindinto football club, also known as YSB were at the Gunjur Health Centre on Saturday with electricians to install 10 ceiling fans,10 light bulbs, as well as providing chairs for the offices and patient escorts at the health centre.

The one time darling of club football in the sprawling coastal settlement of Gunjur have now turned to philanthropy, after life after football as they continue to intervene in areas of need in the community.

Reacting to YSB’s latest act of philanthropy, Gunjur Ward councillor, Hon. Momodou Charreh Gibba wrote:


“I hereby join the VDC, the staff of Gunjur health center and the whole community to register my deepest appreciation and sincere thanks to TEAM YSB for this great initiative. Allah knows best, may Allah continue to guide you and give you the cooperation and wisdom to be at the service of our great community. Alning bara”


In September, Sibindinto FC has also presented two laptop computers to the Gunjur Health Centre officials to aid them with administrative duties in health care delivery in the coastal settlement. This followed a similar move where the club extended electricity supply to the Gunjur central cemetery to provide the much needed lighting during burials at night.


Sibindinto FC was represented at the installation of the ceiling fans, light bulbs and presentation of chairs by club chairman Sulayman Sambou, PRO Morro Bojang, club members Sedia Touray, Omar Sawo, Lamin Bajo, Famara Bojang and others.
