GMC leader holds Darboe responsible for Gambia’s ‘mess’
The leader for Gambia Moral Congress, Mai Fatty, has chalked up Gambia’s persistent problems to UDP leader Ousainou Darboe.
He was responding to Karamba Touray who roasted him for his response to comments by minister of tourism, Hamat Bah, which has been roundly condemned on social media.
In his riposte to Karamba, however, Mai Fatty assigned blame to Ousainou Darboe for the current conditions in the country because of his support for Barrow to continue for five years instead of three years under the coalition agreement. Without mentioning the veteran opposition leader by name, but leaving substantial clues, he retorted:
“I disagree with you. Your anger or disappointment are noted but unacknowledged. I know of a Party Leader whose single statement is uniquely responsible for the mess we are into.
If that abominable statement wasn't made and empowered by you all, Barrow would have been history. You don’t have the courage to condemn that. Spare me the hypocrisy Karamba.”
