Gambian Badou Jack loses light-heavy weight title
By Sainey Darboe Swedish-born Gambian, Badou Jack, has lost the WBA interim light weight title to American Marcus Browne. American Marcus Browne took the vacant WBA interim light-heavyweight title with unanimous points win over Badou Jack.
During the fight Jack suffered a nasty cut to the middle of his forehead but managed to complete the final five rounds before losing on points by 117-110, 116-111, 119-108.
Badou Jack is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBC super Middle weight title from 2015 to 2017 and the WBA light heavy weight title in 2017. As an amateur, he represented The Gambia at the 2008 Olympics, reaching the first round of the middle weight bracket.
