UDP leader pays condolences to Gunjur great Mankamang Touray
The leader of the United Democratic Party, Ousainou Darboe, over the weekend led a high powered delegation to Gunjur to pay condolences to the family of late Mankamang Touray.
Addressing the solemn gathering, prominent Islamic scholar Ismaila Manjang thanked the leader of the biggest opposition party in the country for the gesture.
The late Mankamang Touray, in his testimony, had “immense love for Ousainou Darboe”.
He added: “Mankamang’s love for Ousainou Darboe cannot be quantified. Mankamang loved everyone and all can attest to that. Mankamang’s demise is a loss to everyone”.
Expressing gratitude to the UDP leader, Falalo Touray, a brother who survived Mankamang thanked him for making time in his busy schedule to condole with his family.
“Although this is a sad occasion, we are very grateful to Ousainou Darboe for this gesture. Although the loss of a loved one is a sad occasion, we are consoled and happy for this visit,”he added.
