The annual football competition organised by the Gunjur Youth and Sports Development Committee will begin on Tuesday, 27th August 2019. Ecomog FC will take on Smateq (Halifax) at the 3pm kick-off, while Aselem takes on Black Panthers at the 5pm encounter.
The Nawettan opener was preceded with the Super Cup between last year’s champions, The Pub FC who defeated Reliance FC 2-1 to be crowned Super Cup winners. The match which took place on Saturday 24th August was attended by the MP for Kombo South, Hon. Kebba K Barrow among other dignitaries and sports personalities.

The 2018/19 competition was won by the Sifoe outfit The Pub FC who are on the money to go all the way this year by winning the Super Cup against Reliance FC.
