The Founder and Chief Executive officer of renewable energy company Solar Enterprise LTD, has donated Cement towards the construction of a state of the earth Multipurpose Center in Gunjur.
The project which was iniated by the Gunjur Development Association (GDA) kicked off with block making for the building and the perimeter fence of the property. Construction of the perimeter fence is currently underway to secure the area before construction proper of the complex will begin in earnest.
Reacting to the timely and welcomed donation of bags of cement to the project, diaspora President of GDA, Ousman Manjang said of the kind gesture of the Gunjur born young entrepreneur:
“We are grateful to the donation from Sirousman Barrow. We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community... Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own. We are the agent of change and in Community with big heart, I am sure, confident and convinced that, change has already taken effect with Philantropist like SirOus Barrow.

Ousman Barrow, widely referred to as “Sir Ous” and his company Solar Enterprise are known in the community for taking their corporate social responsibility seriously. Solar Enterprise recently installed solar lighting system at the Gunjur central cemetery to provide lighting for burials that are performed at night. The company is also joining hands with Gunjur Youth Movemet to provide solar street lighting at Gunjur beach where coconut trees are planted to protect the environment.
