Earlier today, the National Road Authority has officially handed over the construction project of the Gunjur beach road to Green Vision International of Ousman Kuring Touray.
Present at the official handing over of the project were NRA officials, Mr Ousman Kuring Touray of Green Vision, Director of GEPADG, Mr Badara N. Bajo, the Alkalo of Gunjur, Mr Dembo Darboe, Mr Buba Jitteh, Mr Bai Darboe from the Council of elders who all spoke on the importance of the beach road and urged the contractor for a timely completion of the project.
The Alkalo of Gunjur pleads for prayers, support and cooperation of the people of Gunjur for the successful completion of the road construction project.
Green Vision International of Gunjur-born Ousman Kuring Touray won the contract to build the all important beach road, the foundation stone of which was laid down by Gambian President Adama Barrow in May this year.
Gunjuronline understands that construction works will begin in earnest as soon as the heavy rains ease of, possibly August or September period.
The building of this road will be a welcome development for the people of Gunjur, especially those living around the beach road. The road causes havoc to these people either during the rainy season or dry season.
