Gunjur UNITE chairman lambasts politics of deception, as Kombo south supremo pays courtesy call

Pa Janneh has called on the citizenry to make informed decision at the polls in December elections for a better life.

Speaking during a courtesy call by UNITE Kombo South Chairman, Momodou Semega Janneh, he postulated:

“Why are they going on campaign deceiving people with promises they can’t fulfill? They need your votes. Why don’t they sit in their houses in the hope Allah will put them there. They use religion to mislead people. They should sit in their houses .

If you do research, you see that countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran don’t fold their hands and merely place faith in Allah but work with the times. That’s what I see in Talib and UNITE. I have seen how Talib transformed Bakoteh dumpsite since he took over in 2018 with little cooperation from the government. He built and renovated markets. There is no doubt he will do more if he becomes president.”

Power, he maintained, belongs to the people. His words:

“We should stop deceiving each other. The taxes we pay are what is used to build the country. Power belongs to the people.

We should all be politicians because politics affects all of us. Even if you are a groundnut seller, politics affects you because you end up buying cash power. Politicians in charge dictate the price of cash power. We’re all politicians.

We should all be politicians. Politicians control the world and dictate economic conditions. We should watch what people do; not what they say. We support Talib because he delivers. We should all be politically conscious and not sell the next five years of our lives for money or vanity projects”.
