Dr. Ceesay vows to bring change, as he edges closer to CA party leadership

University professor, Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, has pledged to work assiduously towards engendering system change in The Gambia following his nomination as flag bearer for Citizens’ Alliance political party.

In a statement made available to Gunjuronline, he said:


“I thank every member of Citizens' Alliance and those in the party who nominated me to be the Presidential Candidate for the 2021 elections. I am super excited to rise up to the challenge. I am also looking forward to working with every Gambian and every friend of The Gambia to uplift our country. The road to restoring the dignity of the people of The Gambia might be paved with stumbling blocks, but it is worth driving through.


This is possible with your support, the support of every Gambian who believes in allying the wisdom of our patriotic seniors to the potential of the youths and our generation to bring the effective change and the development all successive governments are yet to achieve since 1965.The Gambia we want is near. Change is here!” Dr Ismaila Ceesay who co-founded the Citizens’ Alliance Party serves as the party’s acting Secretary General until the party consucts its congress to formally elect leader and presidential candidate. The Citizens' Alliance NAtional Congress will be held from 27 - 29th November where the NAtional Executive Council will be elected and the party's leader and flag bearer for the 2021 Presidential elections.
