CA’s Dr Ismaila Ceesay meets, congratulates President-elect Adama Barrow
The disqualified presidential candidate of Citezens’ Alliance for the December 4th Presidential elections has met President-elect Adama Barrow and congratulated him on his election victory, pledging his willingness to collaborate for national development.
“It was great pleasure meeting President Adama Barrow to congratulate him, extend our goodwill and explore possibilities of collaboration to build our country. We in Citizens' Alliance believe that political parties should coexist, collaborate, compete and where necessary challenge each other. Let’s move on and start building our country for the next generation. We owe it to them.”
Dr Ceesay’s candidacy was rejected by the IEC and tte CA leader mounted a legal challenge against the IEC which he won.
Unable to context, the young political science professor refused to endorse any of the competing presidential candidates.
Having been declared the winner of the December 4th election with over 200k margin to tye neares challenger, UDP, Dr Ceesay has now met and congratulated Adama Barrow in the interest of building the country.
