  Red Star FC

The contest between CommIT FC and Red Star FC was without doubt, the most entertaining game played so far this season even though the game ended in a stalemate

Both side possed the ball well with lots of incisive movement's and slick passing. But, in reality most of the complete attacks were coming from Red Star as CommIT's Mbemba Jassey had been the busiest goalkeeper of the two. Red Star's Mbemba Fatty and Sidia Barrow both left their supporters roaring "HEY!" after hitting wide what were expected to be goals. Omar Camara tap over the only decent chance for CommIT in the first period after Red Star custodian Samsideen Bojang caught and dropped the ball under his feet. Straight after the break, CommIT were several times thankful to their keeper who did well to ensure the score line remained intact. The young goalie Mbemba Jassey dived left twice to make brilliant saves, first from a low far range drive from the most impressive player of the game Salifu Bojang and then a close range tap from Sidia Barrow. CommIT were patient in the game and played according to their plans, attacking in numbers and defending in numbers. Their plans nearly materializes midway through the second half when teenage forward Dawda Darboe dispossess Fasanna Barrow at a dangerous position and ran clear through toward the goal area. With no option to prevent the attack from reaching their goal post, Fasanna deliberately pulled the shirt of Dawda Darboe at the edge of the box, the referee awarded a free-kick and handed Fasana Barrow a red card. Youngster Omar Ndirr hit the resulting free-kick an inch wide.

CommIT were expected to take advantage of Fasanna's sending off, but coach Bubacarr Bojang reacted quickky and intriduced two attacking players into the game to ensure his side continue their attacking football. The remainder of the minutes was played without Red Star feeling the absence of their defensive midfielder. Exciting the game was, but, the one negative on the afternoon was the injury suffered by Ousman Barrow who had a fracture in his right shine.
