The support comes as Gunjur prepares to lock horns with Kartong in the eagerly anticipated zonal encounter, with the contribution expected to help meet some of the costs associated with the team’s preparations and match organisation.

GSC welcomes the support

In an appreciation statement, the Gunjur Sports Committee thanked Sebindinto (YSB) for its generosity, describing the gesture as a demonstration of commitment to sports development and community unity.

The committee said the contribution would help cover expenses ahead of the important fixture and encourage continued efforts to promote the growth of sports in Gunjur.

GSC also prayed for Allah’s blessings upon Sebindinto, expressing hope that such community-minded support would inspire others to contribute to local sports development.

A boost for grassroots sports

The donation highlights the important role local organisations and individuals play in supporting grassroots sports and helping community teams prepare for competitive fixtures.

As Gunjur gets ready to face its neighbours, Kartong, the GSC has called for collective efforts to strengthen sports in the community.

“Together, we can make sports in Gunjur greater,” the committee stated.
