The death has been announced of doctor Ismaila Manneh who succumbed after going under the knife for what a respected colleague characterized as ‘routine surgery’.
Commenting on the unexpected death of a colleague, Dr. Rama Njie revealed:
“Woke up to the devastating news of the death of one of our brightest, most promising young doctors after routine surgery! RIP Dr Ismaila Manneh.
We spoke on Tuesday. You'd passed your primary fellowship exams and had an interest in academia. I just drafted the letter of recomendation for your MSc in Biomedical Sciences Scholarship application yesterday, and today I learn that you are no more! What a terrible tragedy. Rest in peace, dear colleague Dr Ismaila Manneh. You were one of the most humble, hard-working, kind & caring doctors on the ground. You will surely be missed by all your colleagues, patients and the medical fraternity at large”.
