The United Democratic Party leader, Ousainou Darboe has revealed that in the IEC has been engaged in fraudulent voter registration activities in the run up to the
4th December presidential elections that handed a landslide victory to Adama Barrow of the National People’s Party.
The UDP leader made these reevaluations at the party’s press conference today.
According to the UDP Secretary General, IEC was registering voters outside of the permitted and stipulated times, using unofficial voter registration Centers across the country including a private compound purportedly the family compound of a state minister in the Barrow government.
The UDP leadership revealed that the IEC was registering voters up to 30th July 2021 after the official closing of the registration period for the polls.
The UDP declared that NPP was aided by the IEC to win the December 4th Presidential elections thereby subverting the will of the Gambian people.
