Ebrima JS Sanneh, a politician and a philanthropist and his partners from the USA have donated 10 Solar Street lights to Gunjur Development Association (GDA). The Solar street lights worth over D60,000 were presented to GDA officials at the multi-purpose centre project site where the lights will be installed.
The event was attended by Hon Momodou Charreh Gibba, The Village Authorities and the executives members of GDA. Thank you very much Hon Sanneh and his delegation from USA for the magnanimous gestures.
The presentation event was attended by Gunjur Alkali, the VDC, representatives from the Council of elders, Gunjur Ward Councilor Hon. Momodou Charreh Gibba and GDA members.
In a related development, Raymon Jatta has contributed D20,000 to the GDA towards the fixing of the gate at the GDA Multi-purpose Centre.
The Gunjur Development Association (GDA) is an Association that seeks to bring community members together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems in the Community of Kombo Gunjur.
On May 18th, 2019, GDA completed the final payment for the land that was purchased through membership contributions for the proposed multi-purpose centre construction. Construction works at the multi-purpose centre has since commenced as the perimeter fencing completes.
