Omar A. Manjang Named Among Outstanding Teachers at Kinderdoft Bottrop School for 2024–2025

Hon. Omar A. Manjang, Science and Physical & Health Education (PHE) teacher at Kinderdoft Bottrop Technical Upper and Senior Secondary School, has been named one of the seven “Outstanding Teachers” for the 2024–2025 academic year.

The announcement and presentation of certificate was made during the school’s annual graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025, where Mr. Manjang was honoured for his exceptional dedication to teaching and his positive impact on students’ academic and personal development.

Chosen from a competitive pool of over 100 teaching and non-teaching staff, Mr. Manjang’s recognition reflects both his professional excellence and his broader commitment to youth empowerment in The Gambia. In addition to his teaching role, he serves as the Kombo South Youth Member of Parliament, a position he has used to advocate for quality education and meaningful opportunities for young people in the country.

The “Outstanding Teachers” award is presented annually to recognise educators who go above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating innovation, commitment, and a strong impact on student achievement.
