Sport | Nyamina Mini Stadium Water Project Officially Unveiled at GSC Knockout Final

The Nyamina Mini Stadium Water Project, funded by Hon. Kebba K. Barrow through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), has been successfully completed and is now fully operational.

The project was officially unveiled by Hon. Kebba K. Barrow during the Gunjur Sports Committee (GSC) Knockout Final held on Saturday, 7th February, marking a significant milestone for sports and community development in Gunjur.

The intervention includes a 5,000-litre water storage system designed to serve multiple outlets within the Nyamina Field. The system supplies water for irrigation of the playing field, supports the dressing room toilet facilities, and provides water to the public toilets at the venue.

The completion of the project has greatly improved sanitation, maintenance, and overall functionality of the Nyamina Field, creating a cleaner and more conducive environment for sporting, recreational, and community activities.

Implementation and supervision of the project were carried out under the leadership of the Ward Councillor, Hon. Momodou Charreh Gibba, ensuring quality standards and timely execution.

The community, through the Gunjur Sports Committee, has expressed sincere appreciation to Hon. Kebba K. Barrow for prioritising this vital intervention through the CDF, describing it as a strong demonstration of responsive leadership and commitment to grassroots development.

Measures have been put in place to ensure the sustainability, proper maintenance, and long-term use of the facility for the benefit of the Nyamina Field and the wider Gunjur community.
