By Sainey Darboe:
The leader of the United Democratic Party, Ousainou Darboe, has revealed he is not on talking terms with president Adama Barrow.
Speaking in an interview with Sheriff Bojang Junior of The Chronicle over the weekend, Darboe said the ensuing silence between him and President Adama Barrow is due more to dearth of reason to talk than personal rancor.
“I have no personal grievances against him. It’s just that we didn’t have reason to talk. If we have reason to talk of course we will. I have nothing against him and I hope he has nothing against me too”.
Asked whether he feels a sense of betrayal for the insalubrious manner he was fired by the man who once called him ‘political god father’, Darboe said he feels a sense of relief,on the contrary.
“I was brought the termination letter to my office and the president thanked me for my service. I also wrote a letter to him thanking him which was delivered on Monday. I served at the pleasure of the president”.
