Hamburg’s Bakary Jatta misses start of season with torn harmstring

The Gunjur born Hamburg midfielder Bakary Jatta missed the start of Hamburg’s 2020/21 second division and cup campaign with a torn hamstring injury.
The powerful 22 year old midfielder sustained the injury in the latter part of a friendly match with Hertha BSC which Hamburg won 2-0. The torn muscle fiber injury means Jatta sat out Hamburg’s DFB-Pokal game against Dynamo in Dresden on Monday which they lost 4-1. He is also set to miss the second division season opener against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Friday, 18 September. Bakary Jatta joined Hamburg in 2016 playing 43 matches and scoring 4 goals with 2 assists for the 2.Bundesliga side. Get well soon Bakary.
