On behalf of the Eco Travel Gambia Team, I would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the success of The 3rd Edition of Gunjur International Bird Fair & Ecotourism Conference.
The event has brought together over 120 local conservationists, environmentalists, decision-makers, friends of the Gambia, and tourism stakeholders. The presenters have present and discuss emerging trends and concerns about ecotourism development, and environmental resources conservation in The Gambia. The organizing team of the event is pleased to thank all presenters and delegates for putting the event in your schedules and fortraveling a considerable journey to join us for the 3rd Edition of Gunjur International Bird Fair and Ecotourism Conference. We are thrilled to have you all at the event. We hope that you have enjoyed both the presentations and the social part of the conference.
The event since its inception has been the country’s first-ever community-based birding event and ecotourism conference which is champion by young people with the vision of addingvalue to Gambia’s tourism industry. We are so grateful that event has all these years brought together bird experts, bird enthusiasts, ecotourists, local community leaders, and diplomatic representatives, to share experiences and learn about Gambian bird species, ecotourism development and ecological conservation in The Gambia. Eco Travel Gambia team and the management of Dalaba Eco Lodge management thank you allfor your enthusiastic participation, and the time you took to share your thoughts and experiences.
We are so grateful to have the attendance of Deputy British Higher Commissioner and the team, Africa Youth Architects, Gunjur News Online, Green-up Gambia, GREAT Institute, Victory Foundation, Sebendinto Welding Workshop, Eco Village Project, People Coast Ecotourism Network, Gambia Ocean Heroes, Trust Agency for Rural Development, Chief of Kombo South: Lamin Darboe, Ward Councilor: Momodou Charreh Gibba, Chairman – Gunjur Village Development Committee: Tijani Bojang, Dr. Amadou Scattred Janneh, Dr. Bakary Nyanbi Touray, Environmental Concern Group, Gunjur Environmental Protection and Development Group, and colleagues from Department of Parks and Wildlife Management, and other delegates present.
