Faback Gibba is Secretary General-Elect of SoSHA of the University of The Gambia

Faback Gibba, the son of Gunjur Ward Councillor, Hon. Momodou Charreh Gibba has been elected as the next Secretary General of Social Sciences and Humanities Students' Association (SoSHA) at the University of The Gambia.


Fabak was elected as SG following a succsssful campaingn led by Ismaila Fadera.

In a message of appreciation to his supporters and the entire SoSHA, the young promising academic said:

“I write to wholeheartedly thank you all for the faith you have in me by massively electing me as the next Secretary General of our dear Mama SoSHSA. As such it is an opportunity and privilege to represent you to the best of my abilities as the Chief Administrator. And that I will respectfully do accordingly; come snow, come rain!

My untainted respect to my colleague, Mr Alhajie Jarju for his boldness and desire to serve our beloved SoSHSA. The comaraderie remains alive, as election must not be a principal determinant of the relationship I build with people.”

On his willingness to work with all stakeholder, Mr Gibba said of his fellow “Ministers” he will be working with, thus:

“To my fellow incoming Ministers, congratulations on being the people's choice. As would-be co-history makers, I am ready to work with you all in the interest of SoSHSA.”

The SoSHA Secretary General-Elect concluded his message by acknowledging and thanking his team of supporters for trusting him by electing him as Chief Administrator of SoSHA.

He said:

“I wish to seize this opportunity to singlehandedly extend my heartfelt gratitude to the most vibrant, biggest and productive political establishment in SoSHSA, one of the best in history of University of The Gambia - TEAM* *PANACEA. I am thankful for the immeasurable support you offered throughout the entire crusade. Be reassured of my neverending commitment to serving you to the apex. My extensive thanks to the Campaign Team under the leadership of Ismaila Fadera .”
