Frazer, who serves as Managing Director and CEO of Global Properties, announced the news on his social media, expressing his commitment to driving the growth of Gambian businesses and strengthening the private sector’s role in national development.

“As a Gambian entrepreneur, private sector champion, captain of industry, and passionate advocate for the growth of our businesses from start-ups to large companies, I rise to take the mantle for the Presidency of the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” Frazer wrote.

Outlining his vision, Frazer pledged to focus on five strategic pillars:

  1. Empowering SMEs to scale and compete effectively.

  2. Attracting trade and investment to boost the economy.

  3. Advocating for a fairer tax environment for businesses.

  4. Supporting youth and women in entrepreneurship.

  5. Digitalising the Chamber to align with the demands of a modern economy.

He added: “I believe that the GCCI can be a stronger and more dynamic force for national development by unlocking the full potential of Gambian businesses. With your trust and support, we can build a stronger chamber for a resilient economy.”

The GCCI is the country’s leading private sector representative body, working to promote trade, investment, and sustainable economic growth. Frazer’s nomination, if successful, would place him at the helm of one of The Gambia’s most influential business institutions.
