Lawyer Darboe has sought to burnish Talib’s record in his stewardship of the populous Kanifing Municipality, as he squares up against Youth and Sports Minister Bakary Badjie.
Speaking in the costal town of Gunjur in an event marking the victory celebration of Kombo South National Assembly member, Kebba K. Barrow, he enunciated:
“ Only an unthinking person will compare Talib to anybody for the position at KMC. Bakary Badjie is no competition for Talib. Everyone has seen the work he has done in KMC. He cannot be compared to Bakary Badjie who, as Minister of Sports, cannot even ensure we have a standard football stadium.
Bakary is widely believed to be the top-runner among NPP mayoral hopefuls to take on Talib in what constitutes a rematch from his first stab at the job in the last election cycle.
