BAKERY JATTA CLOCKS FASTEST SPEED RECORD IN THE 2 BUNDESLIGA

Gambian midfielder Bakery Jatta has clocked the fastest speed record in the German second tier division (2 Bundesliga).

The Hamburg SV midfielder clocked a speed of 35.97 km/hr in last weekend's game against Hanover, which ended in a 1-1 draw.


According the German newspaper BILD, it was not the 21-year-old Gambian midfielder's best game for Die Rothosen, where he lasted for 63 minutes before been replaced by Martin Harnik, but it he had displayed by far his fastest speed since arriving in Germany, and he now holds the record for the fastest sprint in the 2 Bundesliga this season. And according the football website onefootball.com, the Gunjur-born star is the second fastest player in the German professional football league, behind Borrusia Dortmund's Morrocan right back Achraf Hakimi, who clocked a speed of 36.49km/hr


Jatta's athleticism has been well documented, with his attributes on his FIFA 20 profile having his pace as his main attribute, which is rated 87, whilst his physicality scored 72. His overall rating is currently at 70 with the potential to hit 80.


The highly rated midfielder is currently enjoying another fruitful season at the Volksparkstadion, where he scored 4 goals in 19 games this season, and has started in 18 of those games, playing for the whole 90 minutes in 12. This is despite his early season been marred by controversy surrounding his identity.
