VP Darboe lays out ambitious 2021 electoral plan speaking at a rally in Gunjur
UDP leader and vice-president, Ousainou Darboe, has postulated that his party targets 61% of the votes in the 2021 Presidential elections. He made those remarks while calling on the youths to take their destiny into their own hands and ensure they begin the work now to ensure that the issue of a coalition government in 2021 does not arise.
“UDP should and will form the next government and therefore now is the time for the youths to work towards achieving this aim.” Darboe was speaking at a grand rally in Gunjur following the National Youth Congress to elect the party’s youth executive committee. On UDP’s support for President Barrow’s National Development Plan, the UDP Leader emphasised that his party was instrumental in the formulation of the NDP as the President singled out the then Finance Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for their tremendous contribution to the NDP, both of whom are key members of the UDP. VP Darboe assures President Barrow that anyone who wants to derail the president’s NDP will have to deal with him first.
