President Barrow lavishes $5000 on Jaliba Kuyateh for song dedication
The Head of State of The Republic of Gambia, H.E Adama Barrow, has through his representatives presented the grand sum of $5000 to the country’s top musician Jaliba Kuyateh.

The funds were presented by Special Adviser to the President Lamin Cham during a Jaliba Global Fans Club launch event where a new song specially written and sang for the president made its debut on stage by the Kora maestro. The CEO and general secretary of Gambia Football Federation, Lamin Jassey who was one of the organisers said of the event:
“The launching of Jaliba Global Fans Club was a resounding success. We would like to thank the First Lady Fatou Bah Barrow, our Chief Guest of Honour, Matty Manneh, our Lady of the Night, Teneng Ndure, our Chief Patron, Secretary General, Ebrima Camara, Secretary to Cabinet, Ebrima Csay, PA to the President Lamin Cham, Lamin Saidy, and Musa Bah, for gracing the occasion. We also want to thank all our patrons and special guests and all those who attended the programme. Finally, we want to thank Jaliba and the Kumareh Band for a fantastic performance.”
The official launch of the Jaliba Global Fans Club at Qcity also witnessed the release of six brand new hits by the King of Kora and his Kumareh Band including a special song for President Barrow and President Sall of Senegal called Senegambia.
The Jaliba Global Fans Club was officially launched on December 28th in front of thousands of fans of Gambia’s finest musician, dubbed the King of Kora. Jaliba Global Fans Club is the umbrella group of Jaliba fans globally that exists to unite the fans with a view to promoting the Kora maestro. The group has over sixteen thousand followers on Facebook
