By Sanna Darboe

The sprawling Gambian community of Gunjur has been selected to be at the receiving end of a business training program. The programme runs from 26-29th March 2018.

A release from the organizers explains: “This programme is an education programme for people who wish to explore business ideas or need to develop an existing micro business but do not have access to appropriate training. The programme will be run initially by Dr Nikki Swan PhD MBA and Dr Trevor Long PhD MBA from UK. There will be no charge to participants for attendance on the programme however those selected for the course will be expected to be committed to the course with 100% attendance and impeccable time management”. Access to the programme, according to the organisers, will not be restricted by exam results or schooling levels.

“It will be open to anyone including those who have not had secondary schooling or higher education. However, a minimum requirement will be a level of English sufficient to understand the spoken content of the programme and to be able to write sufficient notes to build a Journal Business Plan.If you are interested in applying for this course please contact any of the people listed in the flier for further information”.

Despite a waiver of any fee attendance and participation, the organisers are quick to issue warning about expectations of people attending, writing:
