After so much long and intense struggle, the Gunjur Environmental activists have finally entered into a deal with the Geology Department of the Gambia. "We are delighted to announce to you that Gunjur Environment Concern Group have entered into an agreement with the Geology department to put their acts together immediately." with regards to the uncontrollable sand mining activities in Gunjur. "What makes it even more beautiful is that, Geology department has promised to pay for the relocation of the women gardeners, to pay for rehabilitation of the local forest and re-duning of the sand dunes," says Ahmed Manjang.
