#GunjurIsCrying Her sea raped, betrayed and battered Wailing and throwing out rotten fish as tears Her tears has turned bloody red with bad smell
Gunjur is crying Cruel Culprits morphed into nation builders Ching Chong Changa has the bucks Accomplices stand out, shouting for the bucks Opening mouths as if to swallow the world With the bucks their integrity is bought
Gunjur is crying Yet no one care, those who care are ridiculed Ching Chong showed the highest defiance By raising a flag waste pipes are re-installed Now she can cry or wail an ocean Who cares? Who will rescue her?
Gunjur is crying Her leaders hankering over paltry prizes Hankering over worthless gains Do they care for her? A betrayal unabated! They chant that the waste is not toxic But have they forgotten the NEMA act? Waste should not be dumped in the sea!
Gunjur is crying Who is gonna wipe her tears? Who is gonna guarantee a future for her kids? Do nothing and we would all be guilty Guilty of a collective ecocide It is an inalienable right to protect our environ Forward with safeguarding lest be consumed Be consumed by a collective suicide The choice is ours Gambia to end this cry of Gunjur !
