A top Gambian Engineering company,Doku Group Gambia Ltd has started an initiative that encourages people to wear masks to prevent the spread of Covid -19 by paying participating winners 1000 Dalasi for posting a picture of themselves wearing a mask.
Writing on the company Facebook page, Gallo Saidy the CEO of Doku Group Gambia said: “Each and every one of us is responsible for protecting the elderly and vulnerable of our Country, as well as ourselves. The World is currently struggling to combat Covid 19 and now more than ever, we must all act responsibly, it is not the time to be complacent”.
Writing further, the Covid 19 combating CEO said “Irresponsible actions could have serious implications for both yourself and your loved ones. Avoid the three C’s – spaces that are closed, crowded or involve close contact.Make wearing a mask normal when you are around other people .Wash your hands frequently with soap and water”.
