NEWS: Community Radios benefit from D820,000 worth of Solar system installation
Network of community radios through its president Yusupha Bojang and secretary Amadou O. Bah on Thursday held the official handing over of complete solar panel installation worth over D820,000 to all community radios across the country.
The virtual online meeting which was chaired by the network's SG brought together the project donors and stakeholders, UNDP, OHCHR, TRRC and GPU. The one year MOU between UNDP and NCRG is meant to intensify support to victims of human right violations and sexual and gender Base violence (sensitisation), and to engage victims to participate in the truth, reconciliation and reparations for positivity.
Reacting to the project, Secretary General Amadou O. Bah said:
“This timely gesture, the first of its kind will boost the sustainability of Community Radios and ensure quality and efficient program output across communities. The NCRG on behalf of all member stations sincerely express gratitude to the donors and all partners involved in the project.”
