A petition has been started on change.org for the closure of Freedom Radio
A change.org petition has kicked off lobbying for the closure of US-based Pa Nderry Mbai’s Freedom Radio.
The petition which was started by one Amie Jobe has so far gathered over 600 signatures.
Amie Jobe who started the petition gave the following reason as to why she is calling for the closure of the Freedom Radio:
“Freedom radio ams news is being lots of hate in our Gambian community, people loss lives loss jobs and get depressed by bullying by pa himself and people whom calls in his shows. His hate for mandinka people in Gambia also brings tribalisms between Gambian.”
Pa Nderry Mbai and his Freedom Radio has recently come under criticism for publications about the Banjul Mayoress Rohey Malik Lowe.
The Freedom Newspaper and Radio has been instrumental in the fight and defeat of long term ruler of The Gambia, former President Yaya Jammeh.
